ISOCARP URBAN PLANNING ADVISORY TEAM - Sitges and Garraf regional strategy

The International Society of City and Regional Planning (ISOCARP) helps municipalities around the world with their key urban development issues, by dispatching Urban Planning Advisory Teams. These are international teams of advisors who work with the city for a one week on site workshop. Luc Vrolijks participated in the third Isocarp Urban Planning Advisory Team for Sitges, Spain. The workshop  established a regional development strategy for Sitges and the Garraf Region. Key issue was to balance the development of the region with the strong development push from Barcelona. On the basis of three scenario's, a series of key projects for the region were identified. The task force took place in September 2007 and provided a basis for the establishment of regional policies.
